Inside Bogart

What makes the Bogart Bass unique? What sets the Bogart apart from other basses? And why is that? Here are the answers:

The body of the Bogart is made of various composite materials: from the inside out, these are: a core made of spruce wood. The core is surrounded by a special integral foam that has excellent resonant properties. The outer shell of the body is made of glass fiber-reinforced gelcoat, which is extremely robust and impact-resistant. On the Bogart Classic, a noble wood veneer is also laminated onto the body.

Construction

The construction of the Bogart Bass is unique worldwide and we are very proud to have created something that no other bass manufacturer on this planet makes.

The 1000-time proven SKC carbon neck has now arrived in its 5th generation. The hand-laminated construction offers excellent sound properties and optimal stability.

All manufacturing processes are our own, exclusive developments.

However, the researcher's spirit does not rest: our latest development is the Bogart Quick Mount neck attachment, which allows the neck to be dismounted from the body within one minute and reassembled in the same time, without changing the bass setup. Philosophy

The difference from other basses lies in the resonance behavior of the body and neck, which can hardly or not be realized with a wooden instrument. This creates a uniquely warm and direct tone that significantly improves the sound of any band and opens up new artistic horizons for every bassist, whether beginner or professional.
A further difference from instruments of other manufacturers lies in the virtually non-existent quality fluctuation, every Bogart that leaves our factory has the same excellent sound characteristics and the same, proverbially very good playability.
